Our Health is Our Heritage – Why Filipino American Health Statistics Remain Unfulfilled

Rather than going with the numbers, we should be aware of the populace of Filipino Americans and their own history in the United States.

Every youngster that walks into a class room has an excellent narrative. They are also a reflection of the country. Filipino Americans had contributed a lot to the country. There is a Number of contributions of Filipino Americans.

For at least 30 decades, Naomie Kinney was advocating for filipino-american overall health. She authored”Filipino Americans: Heritage and Instruction”. After Naomie retired by training, she chose to move straight back in to the classroom.

We should be grateful that Naomie has been a voice of basis for filipino-americans who do not understand why our children suffer much from the health challenges they face. She’s dedicated her entire life to educating American kiddies regarding filipino-american heritage and our donations.

It focuses that Filipino Americans has faced. Orson who functions as the chancellor for PCHS wrote this book.

Dr. Orson, along side other teachers, local community members, and group leaders developeda curriculum and introduced a new book called Developmental Education Susan. Deborah Creagan which highlights the philosophical differences involving other minority groups and Filipinos wrote this publication. It is a very well researched book and certainly will be used by teachers.

Thomas M. Powell has been a professor of educational studies for over ten years. He writes a blog called Who I Am. This blog focuses on how Filipino Americans has contributed to the United States.

Dr. Murray N. Nasibu is the director of Instruction for PCHS. The National Asian Pacific American Heritage Alliance (NAPAHA) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching, teaching, and enabling Latino/a/a communities. These communities have faced poverty discrimination, and also other obstacles due of the Latino heritage.

What is lacking when it comes to the Filipino American health statistics is the consciousness that we have of the contributions of this group. It would be much easier to address the health issues and challenges faced by our community if we could fully understand and appreciate the strong bond that Filipinos share with this country.
